The 18.0 elliptical from AFG is constructed with newer design of elliptical, suspension. The machine is not guided on roller wheels like front drive designs nor does the flywheel cause the pedals to be too far apart like most rear drive elliptical, causing the machine to be extremely smooth and comfortable. It’s built with a large yet compact frame, 23lb flywheel, and every joint of the machine is built with sealed bearings that do not require lubrication.

Last summer, Health Magazine awarded the AFG 18.0 AXT Ascent Trainer it's "America's Healthiest" award for best elliptical!!

The AFG 18.0 is also fully loaded with features. It consists of 10 preset programs that changes resistance and the stride lengths based on the level of the program. A Polar heart rate monitor is also included for uses that want an accurate workout by using one of the heart rate training programs. Heart rate programs are designed for the user that wants a complete accurate workout based on what that person’s goal is. By wear the heart rate monitor, inputting the use’s age, and entering the chosen goal of the program, the machine will consistently monitor the user’s heart rate and adjust the machine accordingly to make sure that entire workout is efficient and accurate. On top of those great features, the AFG 18.0 is also built with an ipod dock and mp3 player with speakers.
